About The Band: RJ McCarty

RJ McCarty is a force of music. Intricate folk/americana-inspired songwriting supported by a diverse variety of instrumentation lays ground for gritty, authentic vocals to paint over; which brings to life a surreal-yet-familiar world that exists within us all.

RJ cut his teeth as a kid in the music scene, and has lately been touring internationally in England, Canada, and the United States as an original act in support of his newest release "Tear Back The Sheets": a 7-track record, upon which he played every instrument.

He can also be found touring as a multi-instrumentalist for the critically-acclaimed psychedelic folk band, The Slambovian Circus of Dreams.

He draws inspiration from the flowing, playful vocals of Van Morrison, to the deep-rooted, soulful dirt and heart of Sister Rosetta Tharpe; as well as the world and phenomena surrounding and within them. Toss in Dr John's ivory keys, shapeshifting guitar-slingin' that bends with the music, and an old Hammond organ that will lift you off your seat -- it all comes together for a dynamic live show!

Performing "with a little help from his friends", drummer Chris Van Rooyen and bassist Matt Mondell join RJ for an unforgettable night of music that is sure to move your soul! A splendid time guaranteed for all!

• Where is Catamount Mountain Resort Located?
  Catamount is located on Route 23 right at the border of Hillsdale, NY and South Egremont, MA. Use the address 78 Catamount Road, Hillsdale, NY 12529 in your gps.
  
  

• Is there an admission fee to attend the concert?
  No – The Summer Music Series is free to attend. There will be food and drinks avialble to purchase at an extra charge.

• Is there a charge for parking?
  No – parking is free.

• May I bring my kids/What is there to do for children?
  The Summer Music Series is great for the whole family.

• Are pets allowed?
  Pets are welcome during the Summer Music Series Concerts. All animals MUST be on a leash at all times - NO EXCEPTIONS. We reserve the right to ask you to remove your animal from the premises if we deem the animal to be unsafe. Pets must be cleaned up after.

• Can I bring my own alcohol?
  No - Outside alcohol is prohibited during the Summer Music Series events.  

• Are lawn chairs allowed?
  Yes. There will be picnic tables and adirondack chairs available, but may not be enough for everyone, so you are encouraged to bring your own lawn chairs.  

• What happens in the event of inclement weather?
  Should there be inclement weather, Catamount will make the call prior to the event as to whether we will move indoors or cancel the event. If there is poor weather expected, be sure to stay tuned to our website and social media for updates.
