About Catamount Aerial Adventure Park

A fun, challenging, and rewarding experience!

Located near the base of our ski area, tucked away under the canopy of the trees, the Catamount Aerial Adventure Park is one of the largest aerial parks in New England. Our park features 9 courses of varying difficulty, so whether you are a seasoned adventurer or a first-time climber, you’ll have fun maneuvering through obstacles and soaring on zip lines while suspended in the trees. Our courses feature obstacles ranging from bridges, ladders, ziplines, and more - each ticket grants you 3 hours of climbing, so there is plenty of time to explore it all. Our trained staff will provide you with all the necessary equipment and guidance to ensure your safety and enjoyment.

Fall Hours (Starting September 2nd):

Open Saturday & Sunday 10am-5:30pm

*Park closes at 5:30pm, to ensure you get a full 3 hours of climbing in, please arrive no later than 2pm to ensure time for check-in. Online reservations are highly recommended.

Tickets are for 3 hours of climbing so we recommend you arrive by 2pm at the latest to get your full 3 hours in before we close. Online reservations are highly recommended.

Zip Tour/Adventure Park Combo

Want to experience both of our main summer attractions?

Experience both of our premier summer attractions with the Zip Tour/Adventure Park Combo! Available starting at 10am or 11am, your visit will begin with a ride on the Catamount Zip Tour - a 2 hour experience that includes the longest dual-span zipline in the United States. Then you'll head up for 3 hours of climbing in our Aerial Adventure Park featuring an extensive network of ropes courses, wooden platforms, zip lines, and other obstacles.

Adventure Park Guide training participants
  • All participants must check-in at customer service, located in the Catamount Lodge. We urge all guests to reserve spots online as capacity is limited.
  • All participants must sign a waiver, those under 18 will require a parent/legal guardian signature.
  • One ticket grants you 3-hours of climbing - this includes safety instruction as well as being fitted for a harness.
  • Participants must be at least 7 years old with a recommended height of 48 inches.
  • Minimum weight of 50 lbs and maximum weight of 265 lbs.
  • Participants must be able to fit into our safety harness.
  • Each course is rated with a difficulty level - age restrictions apply to some of the more challenging courses.
  • Closed toe shoes are required

Aerial Adventure Park FAQ's

How long can I climb for?

Each ticket gives you up to 3 hours of climbing, this includes safety training and being fitted with a harness.

Are there any age, height, and weight restrictions?

All Aerial Adventure Park participants must be at least 7 years old with a recommended height of 48". Minimum weight of 50 lbs and maximum weight of 265 lbs.

This activity is not recommended for guests who are or may be pregnant and those who have or may have heart conditions, high blood pressure, history of back, neck, or bone injuries, recent surgery or any other current physical or mental illness.

This activity requires some level of strength - there are multiple courses all rated for difficulty, some additional age restrictions apply to the more challenging courses.

What should I wear?

Wear comfortable clothing appropriate for the season, but avoid loose clothing that could tangle in ropes or other gear. Skirts or short shorts should be avoided. In late fall or winter months, it is better to come with too many articles of clothing than not enough. We go in the rain, so come prepared with rain gear if needed.

Spring & Summer Wear

  • Close-toed shoes (hiking boots or sturdy sneakers) For your safety, no sandals or flip-flops will be permitted.

  • Light jacket, fleece top, or sweater

  • Rain jacket with hood

  • Light pants

  • Comfortable longer shorts (chafing from the harness could occur with short shorts)

  • Spaghetti strap shirts are not recommended.

Late Fall or Winter Wear

  • Hat or balaclava that will fit under a climbing helmet

  • Wool or synthetic long underwear top and bottom

  • Insulated ski jacket or layers of fleece with a weatherproof shell

  • Wool or Fleece socks

  • Thin gloves (gloves can help your hands stay warm on a cool day)

  • Ski pants on especially cold days

  • Boots (insulated)

You should remove any dangling jewelry and tie long hair back. You will be asked to remove all items from your pockets before going on the tour. If you plan on bringing a camera, smaller cameras with a lanyard are best. If you bring your phone to take pictures you run the risk of dropping or otherwise damaging your phone. Items you bring on the tour may get lost along the course. Please leave valuables in the car.

Is there a place to store my belongings?

We do not have any secured space to leave persnonal belongings - we suggest all valuables be left in your vehicle. All items kept on you should be in a zippered pocket or securely fastened to yourself. Catamount is not responsible for any lost or damaged items.

How big is the park?

Our Aerial Adventure Park consists of 9 separate courses of varying difficulty, with over 150 challenge elements from bridges, ropes courses, ladders, and other obstacles.

Do you operate in all weather?

We run our activities regardless of the weather conditions except lightning and high winds. We reserve the right to modify or move a trip when we deem necessary. You should assume that your trip is still running as scheduled unless you hear differently from our office.

Weather related cancellations will be made just prior to your trip start time at Catamount. Customers will receive a credit in case of operator cancellation due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances. No refunds will be issued. Is this a guided tour?

Our Aerial Adventure Park is not a guided tour. You are given 3 hours to explore the 9 courses we have available. There are attendants throughout the course should you need assitance or have questions at any time. Our attendants are trained to safely extricate a participant should they be stuck on an obstacle or unable to finish a course.

Where is the park located?

The Aerial Adventure Park is located just above the base area lodges, nestled in the trees. Getting to the park requires a walk from the base area consisting uphill travel and uneven gorund. 

Please be sure you check in at the customer service desk in the Catamount Lodge before heading up to the park.
