The Mountain Cats program at Catamount emphasizes three objectives: safety, fun, and learning!

Lesson Times (Weekends and Holidays)

  • Full Day (Including Lunch)

    9:30am-3:30pm

  • AM Half Day

    9:30am-12:00pm

  • PM Half Day

    1:00pm-3:30pm

  • Children ages 3-13 can participate in skiing and snowboarding
  • Children must be potty-trained
  • Complimentary lift ticket included
  • Helmets are required for all program participants
  • There is no guarantee that children will ride the chair with an instructor
  • RENTAL EQUIPMENT MUST BE PURCHASED SEPARATELY

Upon Arrival

Please check in at our Mountain Cat’s Desk at the top of the stairs in the Berkshire Lodge parking lot entrance: Arrive at 8:45 for Full day and AM or 12:30pm for PM. If your child needs rentals, please arrive at 8:30am or by 12:00pm for PM to check in so we can get your child their equipment before their lesson. Your child should be dressed and ready to hop into their skis or snowboard when they arrive to be checked in.

    Check-in at the top of the stairs from the parking lot side of the Berkshire Lodge. Pick up inside the Berkshire Lodge at the desk by the entrance lodge side to the Taconic room. 

  • Meeting Times:

    Full Day & AM participants who need rentals arrive at 8:30am, those who do not need rentals can check in at 8:45am.

    AM pickup: 12pm inside the Berkshire Lodge at the desk by the entrance side to the Taconic room.

    PM: Those who need rentals arrive at 12:00pm, those who do not need rentals arrive at 12:30pm. Check in at the Mountain Cat's desk outside the parking lot door to the Berkshire Lodge. 

    Full day and PM pick-up: 3:30pm inside the Berkshire Lodge at the desk by the entrance lodge side to the Taconic room.

    AM/PM Half Day: $195

    Rentals: $49

Mini Rippers

Our mini ripper program is aimed to get children, ages 18 months – 4 years old, familiar, comfortable and excited about winter sports.

In this weekly group, children and their caretakers will be educated on how to dress for success when heading outdoors! Our hope is to encourage your little one to enjoy the outdoors all year long.

Each session will begin with a half-hour of fun, hands-on, indoor learning activities, followed by a half-hour slide session outside in the snow! Our snowsports team will set up a fun learning experience with hula hoops, snow castles, and more in our learning garden.

Due to the demand for Season Long Programs, Mountain Cats and Snow Sports Lessons we have a No Refund Policy. We will happily transfer your booking if you contact us a minimum of 48 hours prior to the lesson date, based on availability. All lessons must be used by the end of the 2026-2027 winter season. Online lift tickets purchases are date-specific and nonrefundable. Tickets unable to be used on the designated day of issuance at purchase may be used on another day during the 26/27 winter season. Guests will be responsible for any difference in the ticket price for rescheduled days, and a $20 change fee will be applied to each ticket (or once to move an entire online order in need of a change). Rescheduling of day tickets must take place before the close of business the day prior to the originally purchased day of use by calling 413-528-1262. All unused winter 26/27 Lift Tickets, Snow Sports Lessons, Mountain Cats, and Season Long Programs expire at the end of the 26/27 winter season. All products, including rentals, are non-refundable.
