Catamount Mountain Resort is a four-season resort straddling the New York and Massachusetts border, just 2.5 hours from NYC and conveniently located to Western Massachusetts, Connecticut, and the Hudson Valley. Offering some of the most varied terrain in Southern New England, Catamount is suited for skiers and snowboarders of all levels. Spring, summer and fall bring a range of activities including the longest zipline in North America and one of the largest aerial adventure parks in New England.

Featuring the some of the most skiable terrain in Massachusetts, North America's longest zip line, one of the largest aerial adventure parks on the East coast, and lots of facilities to host your event or to warm up in after a great day on the slopes. Catamount offers a mountain getaway for everyone.

Bring the kids for summertime fun, your friends for wintertime riding, or the entire staff for a corporate retreat that goes beyond the boardroom. We are close to beautiful Great Barrington, the Berkshires, Hudson, Tanglewood, Mass MOCA, the Clark Art Museum, and many more cool hill towns, activities, restaurants and fun for you and yours.

Trail Ratings

Beginner (Green Circle)

35% Green Circle: 16 trails, including the Snow Sports Learning Area for 1st timers and beginners. Ridge Run to Upper and Lower Promenade is the longest run - 1.75 miles

Intermediate (Blue Square)

42% Blue Square: 18 trails – includes Birch Glade and terrain parks on Bobcat, Panther, Sunrise and Turnpike. Upper and Lower Sidewinder, 1.25 miles from summit to base, is a Catamount favorite

Most Difficult (Black Diamond) & Expert Only (Double Black Diamond)

23% Black Diamond/Double Black diamond: 10 trails, includes double diamond Catapult – the steepest trail in the Berkshires – and our newly cut double diamonds Ripper and Christopher's Leap. 

Trail ratings indicate the relative difficulty of the runs within Catamount and are not meant to be used for comparison between ski areas.

Catamount has activities year round! Soar on the "CataMonster", the longest dual zip line in the United States, at 55+ mph and 250 feet over our ski trails! With a vertical drop of over 1,000 feet, enjoy spectacular views of Upstate NY and the Berkshires of Western MA! Below in the beautiful canopy of our trees is our Aerial Adventure Park. Comprised of 9 aerial courses with varying difficulty, climb, zip, and explore through the trees!
